ABOUT ME

Agbongua J. Kwadwo Buenortey is a Ghanaian documentary photographer and cultural practitioner based in Accra, whose practice primarily focuses on themes of environment, spirituality, community, culture, and climate-related stories.

He aims to document people who are marginalized and underrepresented.

Buenortey prioritizes using visual storytelling to spark dialogues, preserve memories, reveal collective responses and adaptations to the consequences of weak systems, rather than perpetuating victimhood.

Buenortey holds a diploma in TV/Movie Production from GH Media School, 2017. He is a member of the African Photo Journalism Database (APJD) and a graduate of the Dikan Centre Photojournalism & Documentary Practice Program in Accra, 2024.
